About Us

Our Story
Adelaide Kitten Rescue began in 2020 with a simple but powerful goal: to give vulnerable kittens a chance at life. Founded by a veterinary nurse alongside a dedicated group of volunteers, the organisation was created in response to the growing number of stray, abandoned and at-risk cats and kittens across South Australia.
While Adelaide Kitten Rescue is a young organisation, our roots run deep. Our team brings more than nine years of hands-on experience caring for kittens of all ages, with a strong focus on neonatal and high-needs care. These are the kittens who require round-the-clock feeding, medical support and expert handling — the ones who would not survive without specialised intervention.
Every kitten in our care is raised in a loving foster home, where they receive individual attention, appropriate veterinary treatment and the time they need to grow, heal and thrive. We work closely with fosters, adopters and community members to ensure the best outcomes not only for the kittens we rescue, but for cats and families across our wider community.
